Mustakeemah: (she speaks out of rage as she cries bitterly) what did I ever do to you people to deserve all this? What is my offence in this life? How to Stay Confident Wearing Hijab in a World That Doesn’t Understand

Wearing hijab is not just about fabric — it’s about faith, identity, and strength. But let’s be honest: in a world where beauty is often defined by what’s shown, wearing hijab can feel like a battle. Especially as a Muslim teen, it can be scary to stand out or be misunderstood. This article is here to remind you that you are not alone, and more importantly — you are not weak. You are strong, smart, and beautiful in your choice to obey Allah. Let’s walk through how to build real confidence while wearing hijab, no matter what the world says. 1. Remember Why You Chose It Confidence comes from intention. Hijab isn’t just a culture, trend, or uniform — it’s obedience to Allah. “And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment…” — Qur’an 24:31 Remind yourself: I wear this for Allah, not for trends or people. I’m not hiding my beauty — I’m honoring it. The moment you reconnect with the purpose, you’ll feel empowered, not embar...

Why I Write Stories for Muslim Teens: A Journey of Faith, Fiction, and Purpose

When people ask, “Why do you write stories?” I pause. It’s not a simple question. My stories are more than words on a screen or pages in a notebook. They are windows into lives often overlooked , voices that don’t get much space, and hearts silently seeking Allah in a noisy world. So, why do I write stories for Muslim teens ? Because I see them. I was them. And I believe fiction can light a path back to faith. 1. Because Muslim Teens Are Often Invisible in Mainstream Media Open most fiction books or shows targeted at teenagers, and you’ll notice something quickly: Muslim characters are either not there, barely there, or portrayed with stereotypes that make you cringe. Where are the stories of the hijabi girl struggling with peer pressure? Where is the boy trying to balance prayer with academics? Where is the teen who sins, regrets, and returns to Allah? I write because I want Muslim teens to see themselves —fully, proudly, and beautifully—in fiction. Not as the villain. Not as th...
